While I am holding on to every bit of summer, I am still a hayridin’, pumpkin spice drinkin’, cardigan wearin’, fall lovin’ type of gal. Fall is my favorite season because I get to wear cozy chic layers without looking like the abominable snowman (that look comes later in the winter!). Plus, it’s our favorite time to visit countless farms and wineries – which by the way, the farm is my happy place. While my husband dreams of oceanfront property, I am longing for open fields, red barns and a farmhouse with some chickens and goats out back. Anyone with me? So, it’s only natural that I get excited about fall as my kids would for Christmas morning.

Anyways, coming off that tangent. Wardrobe transition into fall is easy because you can still pull off your summer pieces with an addition of simple warmer layers. For example, I purchased this leather jacket from Zara over the summer and could not wait to wear it! The fit is superb and it looks good both zipped and unzipped plus it has ruffles y’all! I will be getting my money’s worth out of this one with many looks. Unfortunately, it is no longer available on Zara’s site (sorry!), but I found similar pieces here, here and here for you.

I layered it over this cream camisole – still on sale for only $15 by the way! I grabbed a few colors of these camis because I know I will get a lot of wear out of them especially during the fall (under cozy cardigans) and throughout the seasons. If you are in a rush, these camis look effortless with any pair of denim like these – they are so flowy and feminine, you will look put together without even trying. Moms, can I get an Amen!?

You can add finishing touches, like a floppy hat – it ups the chic factor on the whole look. My Tory Burch satchel was an old purchase but this bag here is similar in style – more options here and here. You can always substitute with my all time favorite tote. And how cute are these lace up flats that are only $15! If you are feeling daring (a.k.a not running after small children 😉), you can do this look with a pair of black booties.

Leave me a comment below to let me know what you love most (or least) about the fall. And thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog!
