Now, let’s get into my makeup routine.

To be honest, I don’t wear makeup all week long, but when I do, it is a variation of this routine, depending on what I am doing that day or night.

1. Prep, Moisturize and Prime
I prep my face with LilyAna Naturals Vitamin C Serum. After I apply the Vitamin C serum, I moisturize with the Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer. This has been my go-to moisturizer for years and is perfect for sensitive skin. I wait a few seconds for the moisturizer to dry, and then I apply the Clarins SOS Primer in Coral. If you are applying foundation, do not skip this step. You need a primer!

On days when I am not wearing makeup, I still apply the serum and moisturizer.

2. Foundation and Setting Powder
For foundation, I alternate between the Estee Lauder Double Wear and the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. Both are phenomenal foundations! I apply foundation with a damp beauty blender.

Then I apply the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder which is amazing for setting your foundation and gives that sheer soft-focus effect.

My colors: Estee Lauder – Tawny // Clinique – 6.5 Buttermilk

3. Eyebrows
Using an angled brush, I fill in my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo. I prefer brow powders over brow pencils. The trick is to use the lighter shade of the duo at the beginning part of your brows and then use the darker shade on the tail end of your brows. This way, they look defined but not too harsh.

My colors: Brunette (dark brown)

4. Eyeshadow
I use the Morphe Bronzed Mocha Eyeshadow Palette. It comes with 25 highly-pigmented and easily blendable neutral shades. I recommend the Sephora Shadow & Crease #205 Brush for application.

For a daytime natural look, I apply the shade “Shy” all over my lid and below my brow bone. I then use a mixture of “Speechless” and “Center” on my crease in a swiping motion with a light hand. For a smoky eye/evening look, I do the same thing as the daytime look, but add “Access” to the outer corners of my eyes and blend it into the crease.

5. Eyeliner and Mascara
I use the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner on my upper lash line. I line my lower lashes with a dark brown eyeliner pencil. The one I am using right now is almost done so I don’t remember which brand it was. But I hear good things about this Lancome Longwear Eyeliner. Tip: If you think eyeliner looks harsh on you, go a shade or two lighter. I opt in for chocolate/brown shades instead.

If I am in a hurry, I go straight to applying my all-time favorite mascara, Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara in the color “Black”. I apply several coats to my top lashes and a light coat to my bottom lashes. But if I have time, I first prime my lashes and use a lash curler before applying mascara.

6. Under Eye Concealer
To cover my dark circles, I first apply the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer with a damp beauty blender. I then set it with the Bare Minerals Broad Spectrum Concealer. I found that this combo works the best to cover up those bad boys!

My colors: Nars – Ginger // Bare Minerals – Well Rested (Natural)

Other concealers I am currently trying and loving lately are the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye and the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer. These options are definitely more pigmented and heavier coverage.

7. Bronzer, Blush, Highlighter
Then comes the fun part! Applying just foundation can make you look washed out. You need to give your face back some life with a bronzer, blush and highlighter.

First, I apply the Benefit Cosmetics Powder Blush on the sides of my forehead, a little below my cheekbones, along my jaw bones, and on the sides of my nose using a fluffy powder brush. I recommend this Tarte Bronze & Glow Contour Brush.

I then apply Tarte 12-Hour Blush on the apples of my cheeks. I use a fan brush to apply the Benefit Cosmetics Highlighter on the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow, a little on my chin, across my cheekbones, above my eyebrows and on the inner corner of my eyes. I use this Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette in the same way as the highlighter for that extra glam glow! I then blend the bronzer, blush and highlighter together with a fluffy brush.

My colors: Bronzer – Dallas // Blush – Paaarty // Highlighter – Dandelion Twinkle

8. Lips
I love the Huda Contour Lip Sets! I top off my lipstick with the Ultra Shine Lip Gel for that extra lip glow.

My colors: Trendsetter & Bombshell
