I love books. I love reading them, being surrounded by them, holding them, getting lost in them! But over the years, this reading hobby of mine has taken a backseat (more like third row backseat). Year after year, I would make a lofty goal, like “at least one book a month”. And I would feel disappointed when another year comes to an end, and I had not finished one book!
But setting my goals for this new year, I knew that if I can’t find the time to sit down with a good book, then maybe I need to try something new. You know the saying, “nothing will change until YOU make some changes.” Talking with some of my book-loving girlfriends recently, I realized that maybe I should give the idea of audio books a try. And one of those girlfriends introduced me to the Scribd app. You guys, I just downloaded the app yesterday, started my first audio book ever (“What I Know for Sure” by Oprah Winfrey) and I am almost done with the book in less 24 hours! That sure beats my “one book a month” goal!
